Colorless transparent liquid, slightly aromatic, its main components are dimethyl succinate CH3OOC(CH2)2COOCH3, dimethyl glutarate CH₃OOC(CH₂)nCOOCH₃, dimethyl adipate CH₃OOC(CH₂)nCOOCH₃. It is an environmentally friendly high boiling point solvent that is biodegradable.
